Speed & Agility Training

Speed and agility training is of the utmost importance when training for volleyball. Unfortunately most athletes train incorrectly when they train for movement efficiency. Running on a treadmill, swimming, or running laps around a track, while beneficial to cardiovascular endurance–it does not translate into an increase in performance on the court. Most plays in volleyball last shorter than 30 seconds, so training with short sprints, quick cuts and high intensity with minimal rest is how we train our athletes.

In an effort to maintain high standards and quality training, Radiant Suns employs methodologies used by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. An athlete's injury risk is minimal when trained by a certified trainer.

Speed and agility sessions are run by a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. When going through the process of speed and agility training, insist that the trainer is certified through the NSCA.

Radiant Suns, Inc. has two Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists on staff to provide high quality training.
